My best friend and I dated for about 3 yrs, broke up, then started hanging out again in January. Together pretty much every day, sleepovers, etc. She recently told me she had feelings for me. I do her too, and I really love her and care about her and want to be w/ her, but right now I’ve had a string of bad experiences and not ready to date. Not wanting to hurt her feelings, I’ve kind of cooled off hanging out w/ her. Although I could honestly see myself marrying her some day.

I’ve always been honest w/ her about our relationship…it’s casual, even the sex. She knows I hang out w/ other girls. Well she came over last night, the first time in over a week (weird for us because we were having sleepovers every night) A couple days before I’d had a girl over, and we ended up hooking up. Apparently this girl left her panties, and my best friend found them under the bed when she was getting her shoes and stormed out of the house.

She will not answer my calls or texts now. WTF did I do wrong? We’re not together. Am I right in thinking she’s overreacting? I’ve been honest w/ her. And did I ruin future chances with her?

She has feelings for you, confessed them to you, and you turned her down. Then she found evidence of another girl in your bedroom. When that’s in your face, it’s hard to see…of course she was going to be upset, regardless of how honest you’ve been.

And honestly you look like a total player. You need to leave her alone and figure out what you want.
